ESPN’s Buster Olney is reporting this morning that the Arizona Diamondbacks have finalized a new three-year deal with 2B Aaron Hill worth a reported $35 million dollars. Hill appeared in 156 games last season for the Diamondbacks batting .302 while hitting 26 home runs and driving in 86. He added 14 stolen bases. Hill finished second on the Diamonds last season in home runs and led the team in batting average over any player with more than 400 ABs.
Hill, 30, is entering his third season with Arizona. Prior to joining the Diamondbacks, he was a member of the Toronto Blue Jays. His best season came in 2009 when he hit 36 homers and drove in 108 runs.
